You're trying to relax, but the evening sun floods your RV through the side window. The shade won't stay put, leaving you squinting and exposed. This medium spring kit restores tension so your shade stays where you set it.
A shade that won't stay put isn't just frustrating; it ruins your quiet moment. Imagine it: the day is coming to an end and you're trying to relax, but the evening sun cuts right through the window. It lights up the room and finds your eyes no matter where you sit. You pull the shade down, but it creeps back up. When the spring inside the roller wears out or the autostop cracks, the shade can't hold position, leaving you squinting through the sun's glare. This kit includes both parts, so you're covered either way. Replace them, and your shade will move smoothly again, staying right where you set it so you can unwind in peace.
Medium kits in the 1700 Series are made for RV shades between 38" and 55" wide. If you're close to the upper end of a small size, it won't hurt to go up. The only limit is the spring size and whether it fits inside your shade's roller tube. So before you order, check the spring inside your shade. If the internal diameter measures 17 mm, this is the right kit. With a standard tape measure, that's about 11/16" and roughly the size of a dime. If it measures closer to 1-1/8" (a little bigger than a quarter), you'll need one of the 28 mm spring kits instead.
Nothing stops a repair faster than missing hardware. This kit includes the spring, clips, brackets, screws, and endcaps, so you can fix the problem in one go and get your shade working like new. And all you need is 3 tools: a pair of pliers, a 1/8" Allen wrench, and a flat-head screwdriver.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this MCD Innovations Medium Solo Spring RV Shade Repair Kit. Now, this kit is designed for one medium RV window shade. And the internal diameter of the springs for this kit is 17 millimeters, so you do wanna make sure that you measure to ensure accurate spring size. So this kit does include everything that you see here. You're going to get one 17-millimeter mini spring, one 17-millimeter autostop.
And then you're going to get four 1700 series standard clips with two metal set screws, as I think you can see there in the bag. And then you're also going to get two 1700 series solo metal brackets. So again, 1700 series solo metal brackets. You see right there. And then you're going to get two black endcap sets and two beige endcap sets.
So again, everything that you see here on my table along with instructions to guide you through that installation process. Now, if you happen to have any other additional questions that I did not cover for you during our time together, don't hesitate to reach back out to us. We do wanna be sure that you're getting everything that you need. Well, I think it's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you.
